An accomplishment on many fronts and a surprise in that the time has gone by so quickly. In 1994 the St. Louis Times was launched with a mission to “do some good” for older adults. Over the years we’ve published different prod-ucts and hosted over 100 events. The Seniors’ Resource Guide has been our most sought after and fulfilling publication. It’s the most compre-hensive community publication of its kind in meeting the needs of our area’s aging popula-tion, covering information from 12 counties in the metro area. Our numerous supporters include advertisers, distribution partners, readers, vendors and almost 1,000 organizations who rely on us to put our area’s resources on aging into perspec-tive. Identifying these businesses one by one and learning about their missions reinforces our commitment to work even harder in identifying the many organizations that we believe our reader’s need to know about. That doesn’t necessarily mean that you will find every single senior-focused organization within our pages, but it does mean that we’ve tried to include them. As always, I want to thank all of the advocates who continue to endorse our publication year after year. They include the Mayor, County Executive, Missouri Governor, Mis-souri Attorney General, Illinois Department on Aging, St. Louis Area Agency on Aging (SLAAA), Aging Ahead (formerly Mid-East Area Agency on Aging), AgeSmart Commu-nity Resources in Illinois, St. Louis County Older Resident Programs (CORP), OASIS, Breakthrough Coalition, and so many more. I particularly want to thank the professionals and caregivers who depend upon our publication in attending to the needs of their clients. The number of locations where the Seniors’ Resource Guide can be found expands every year. For 2019, we have added Schnucks as our newest distributor, which complements our existing circulation into Dierbergs and Straubs grocery stores. Other important distribution partners include three Area Agencies on Aging, geriatric physicians, geriatric care/case managers, health practitioners, outpatient coordinators, professional caregivers, geriatric educators, social workers, elder law attorneys, federal and state agencies, hospitals and health centers, senior centers, aging-focused organizations, colleges and universities, retire-ment communities, libraries, health fairs and many more. The information within our Seniors’ Resource Guide can also be found online at our web-site www.stlouistimes.com, which offers additional aging-focused news and resources. With a searchable database the online edition is especially valuable since it’s updated throughout the year. There’s not enough space to thank everyone who has supported our work since 1994. None the less we are especially grateful to those of you who have fueled our passion and shared our purpose in trying to “do some good” for our area’s older adults. The first 25 years have been wonderful and as Robert Browning liked to say, “…the best is yet to be.” Sincerely,John RothbarthPublisherSENIORS’RESOURCEGUIDEPublishing With Purpose Since 1994Publisher / EditorJohn RothbarthPrepress / Graphic DesignAngie WurtzlerWebsite / ITLarry MrazekThe Jarad CorporationP.O.
